The Carbon Footprint is an environmental indicator that reflects the amount of greenhouse gases (GHG) emitted directly or indirectly by a person, service or product.

The result is expressed in tons of CO2 equivalent, a measure that in terms of CO2 shows the greenhouse effect potential of a gas, and therefore the global warming that it can induce.
